About
Rachel Wittow is a papercut artist working in Tel Aviv. For three decades she has cut by hand, drawing on liturgical text and the changing light of Jerusalem stone. She is the founding artist and chief curator of Rachel's Palette, and the keeper of two family estate collections.
In their words
“I cut what I cannot say. The blade follows the letter, and the light does the rest. My work is a way of holding prayer still long enough to look at it.”
